Talon, 12 years old, is a determined and talented digital inclusion advocate. He produced the video above after his slow connection made him lose multiple games and wouldn’t allow him to host tournaments, threatening his goal to someday be a professional gamer. He realized that by sharing his personal struggle of living without reliable internet access, he might be able to help other youth in Ferry County and around the country to thrive in online studies, research, and aspirations.

Microsoft 4-H Tech Changemakers has helped Talon grow in his advocacy and get his voice heard. As an active member in the group for just over a year now, Talon leads many digital literacy classes:

Talon works with adults and community leaders at the Republic Library to teach digital literacy. He assisted with an online job application, advertising a small business using social media, and helping the historical society create a group email list.

Talon works with Twinflower Wilkie at the Curlew Library to teach digital literacy. He helped with integrating Gmail into Outlook and helping free up startup system operating memory.

This young star is on the rise in our digital inclusion world. We look forward to seeing and promoting his future advocacy work!
