Connecting States’ Financial, Economic and Digital Inclusion Initiatives

The National Collaborative for Digital Equity (NCDE) and FDIC are planning a webinar series in Fall 2022 culminating in a two-day National Summit on Financial, Economic and Digital inclusion during March 15-16, 2023 at FDIC Atlanta, in partnership with national leaders in inclusion, including the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, FCC, Schools Health & Libraries Broadband Coalition, State Financial Inclusion Leaders Network, SkillsCommons, Digital Equity Research Center/NY Metro Library Council, and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, to support:

  • The nation’s State digital equity planning leaders and
  • Leaders of the nation’s 97 state and local Bank On coalitions
  • State and national leaders in digital, financial, economic and educational inclusion
  • State and national leaders of underrepresented communities, to ensure robust accountability for State inclusion plan in needs-sensing, priority-setting, formative assessment, and impacts of State plans over the next 5 years on intergenerational poverty

Challenges of Systemic Inclusion: Why Inclusion Advocates Need to Work Together
Come join national, state and local leaders of underserved groups and leaders in digital, economic, educational and financial inclusion in the first in a series of six webinars hosted by FDIC and the National Collaborative for Digital Equity, in exploring why and how to come to the table to help your State develop and implement Statewide digital equity initiatives in support of economic and educational opportunity. Under the Infrastructure Bill’s Digital Equity Act, States will receive $1.25 billion over five years, starting in October, to develop and carry out plans that, with your participation, can foster “systemic inclusion” and impact intergenerational poverty.
