Max Tricky pictured is Treasurer of the Thlopthlocco Tribal Town. He worked on all the permissions needed to place donated computers in the library. Our project requires that a form be signed and that the equipment belongs to the Tribe and becomes their sole responsibility. The form I believe helps show that the donated computers truly are a gift. Max was nice enough to say, “yes” he could be placed on the internet in a blog. (He is very nice.) The library had one older computer which were replace two donated desktops. The Thlopthlocco will be adding one more computer soon.
The Thlopthlocco are very progressive. The library is wonderful, the collection has been carefully selected for history, culture and interest. There is comfortable sitting, a conference table that encourages people to meet, visit and now technology for access to information.
