It gives us great pleasure to announce the winners of the Ujima Grant Challenge project!

The National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA), in partnership with Grow with Google, is excited to officially announce the six grant recipients representing communities throughout the United States that have been selected to participate in the Ujima Project!

Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama, Huntsville, AL;

Central San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce, San Diego, CA;

Libraries Without Borders US, Washington DC;

Mission: Ignite Powered by Computers for Children, Inc., Buffalo, NY

She Built This City, Charlotte, NC.

 

Each organization will receive no less than $25,000 towards its submitted project

The quality of applications from all applicants was outstanding, and we congratulate our six winners for their incredible efforts in innovative proposals towards digitally upskilling black and brown communities across the Country. From here they will move into the Ujima Kickoff session, with the final project to be submitted in December of this year.

We thank all of our applicants for the enormous investment they put into this projects application, as well as our team of evaluators who had the difficult task of choosing the successful projects.
