Local Voices. National Impact.
The National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA) and Public Knowledge are excited to announce the launch of the Connectivity Policy Corps (CPC), a groundbreaking program designed to shape broadband and digital inclusion policies nationwide. This initiative centers community experience and ensures that broadband and digital inclusion policies reflect the realities faced by those addressing digital inequities every day. Real solutions start with real stories.
“Through the Connectivity Policy Corps, NDIA is building a cohort of community leaders who can speak directly to the challenges and opportunities of digital access, affordability, and safe use. By equipping them with policy knowledge, advocacy tools, and national connections, we’re ensuring that local voices are at the forefront of shaping our nation’s economy, society and democracy.”
Angela Siefer, Executive Director, NDIA
CPC will empower members to engage with congressional staff, state policymakers, and federal agencies, including the Federal Communications Commission and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration. Corps members will learn to effectively advocate for policies that promote digital equity, improve broadband affordability, and reform the Universal Service Fund.
Corps members will receive exclusive training by policy experts, networking opportunities, advocacy tools, and a professional development certificate. The program aims to amplify the voices of local digital inclusion practitioners, ensuring that federal policies reflect the real-world challenges faced by communities.
“The Connectivity Policy Corps will help equip advocates with the tools, strategies, and networks they need to champion equitable and affordable connectivity in their own communities – regardless of who’s in the White House. As we sit on the cusp of the next digital revolution with artificial intelligence, the need for affordable and inclusive broadband access has never been greater. We welcome the first cohort of the Connectivity Policy Corps and look forward to their leadership on the technology issues impacting their communities most.”
Chris Lewis, President & CEO, Public Knowledge
The inaugural cohort is composed of 18 organizations across 14 states, all of which are dedicated to promoting digital equity and are excited to be part of this critical initiative.
