NDIA Work Examples
NDIA developed and led a 2-day in-person digital equity planning workshop for regional planning agency staff from across Massachusetts. Attendees were introduced to digital inclusion work and the process of developing a local digital equity plan. Because the workshop attendees were primarily community planners, NDIA customized the content to focus on strategies and considerations that are unique to digital equity planning, and included recommendations for applying community planning principles and strategies to the development of digital equity plans.
NDIA led a steering committee of local government and nonprofit leaders through a two-month strategic planning process to develop a countywide digital equity strategy. NDIA’s provided meeting facilitation, training, best practices, and technical assistance throughout the process, which culminated in a Recommendations Report. Additionally, NDIA delivered a Digital Inclusion 101 webinar, attended by more than 70 organizations across Summit County, to build awareness and buy-in for the County’s digital equity strategy.
NDIA supported NeighborWorks America network members in the advancement of digital inclusion for two member cohorts. One cohort focused on guidance, training and support for the digital navigator program model and the other on intermediate skilling, webinars and resources for network members who lead digital inclusion programming or services.
NDIA provides program support, guidance and digital navigator training for the Digital Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Consortium that serves the Massachusetts Metro North and North Shore regions, with particular focus on the cities of Revere, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Somerville, Cambridge, Lynn, Salem, and Gloucester.
