Complete the Coalition Survey Today!
Digital inclusion coalitions across the country are working hard to foster digital equity and bridge the digital divide in their local communities and states. NDIA is currently conducting a survey to better understand the breadth and depth of this work and the best ways to support digital inclusion coalitions in the future.
As the digital equity community continues to mature and evolve, digital inclusion coalitions have emerged as a structure for organizations, governments, businesses, and practitioners to pool their resources and deliver a broad range of activities. Coalitions support digital equity planning and collaboration, manage grants, and provide programs for their community members.
Open until November 15, this survey will gather valuable information about digital inclusion coalition leadership, priorities, and work.
A Lot Has Changed in Two Years
In 2022, we conducted our last survey of digital inclusion coalitions, with a total of 51 coalitions submitting information about their structure, points of contact, and programmatic activities. Since then, the number and diversity of digital inclusion coalitions has grown, and existing coalitions have evolved to support the changing needs of the digital equity ecosystems they support.
This new survey will provide an updated estimate of how many coalitions exist and where – we know it’s far more than 51 today – and it will provide important insights into the activities and impacts produced through the collective action that a coalition framework provides.
We Want to Hear From You
We are starting fresh with this survey. So, whether you completed the survey in 2022 or not, we are asking that all digital inclusion coalitions designate someone to complete the survey by November 15 on their behalf. If you are aware of a digital inclusion coalition in your area, please pass the survey link along to the coalition’s leadership and encourage them to complete it.
How We’ll Use This Information
NDIA will publish a summary of the survey findings on the Coalitions Webpage, and will conduct in-depth analysis and discussion of the results with the Coalitions Working Group. Additionally, NDIA will publish a new directory and interactive map of coalitions that will allow anyone to find key information for coalitions in their area.
Ultimately, we serve to uplift the efforts of our community and provide a network for people to find and learn from each other.
