This template logic model was developed as part of the National Digital Navigator Corps. Logic models can be useful tools to develop comprehensive and effective program evaluation.
Evaluation typically proceeds as an investigation of a “theory of change,” which describes why the action a program is taking should result in some positive outcome(s) over time, whether that change is in our clients’ lives and livelihoods, in our community in general, or in both. Developing a theory of change allows us to produce a logic model showing the resources we’re using to create change (inputs), the actions we’re taking (activities), the immediate results of those actions (outputs), along with the changes we expect to see in others and in the world (outcomes and impacts).
